Problems we can help with
- Hairline cracks in plaster, common in older flats
- Peeling and bubbling paint, usually caused by moisture
- Water stains on ceilings from upstairs leaks or aircon pipes
- Holes and dents from removed shelves, TV brackets or knocks
- Sagging or cracked false ceilings and gypsum board damage
- Mould on bathroom and kitchen ceilings. See our guide to mould on walls.
How repairs are done
- Find the cause: settlement crack, moisture or leak
- Scrape off loose paint and plaster
- Fill cracks with flexible filler, or skim-coat larger areas
- Seal stains with a stain-blocking primer
- Repaint the full wall or ceiling panel so the patch doesn’t show
Ceiling leaks in HDB flats: if water is coming from the flat above, HDB has a process for inter-floor leaks. The repair cost is usually shared between the upper and lower flat owners. Contact HDB before repainting, otherwise the stain will come back.

FAQ
Are hairline cracks in walls dangerous?
Fine hairline cracks in plaster are common and usually cosmetic. Wide, growing or diagonal cracks, especially near windows and beams, should be checked by a professional.
Why does paint keep peeling in my bathroom?
Usually moisture: poor ventilation, leaks behind tiles, or the wrong paint. Fix the moisture source and use an anti-fungal primer and paint.
Can you just paint over a water stain?
No. Water stains bleed through normal paint. They need a stain-blocking primer first, and the leak must be fixed.
